The 2008 Golden Acorn Awards ceremonies took place on board of the Disney cruise ship Wonder at December 27, 2009, with live broadcast from the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the Wonder.

Plaques were designed by Jareth. The artwork for the ceremony was done by Red Sonic, Severe Weather Eddie and Gwendolyn_Katsche

After the ceremony Dr. Indy conferred the title of Honorary Ranger on Severe Weather Eddie for his heroic efforts to produce the exceptional graphic presentation for "Best Action/Adventure" which he was working during the ceremony itself but it was absolutely worth the wait.
