Foxglove is far from being shy. Having spent almost all her life without any friends, she can't afford it. For this reason, she became friends with the Rescue Rangers before they even knew it, and she didn't attempt the slightest bit to hide her strong feelings for Dale whose life she saved at the beginning of her only episode. Her crush on him is so intense—she didn't even recognize at first that Dale is way too much payload for her, and that she shouldn't be able to carry him.
For a little bat that she is, Foxglove is astonishingly courageous. She doesn't mind catching a rapidly falling chipmunk in mid-air, she even does her best to support the Ranger Wing and keep it from crashing, and most of all, she does not fear Winifred, the wannabe witch who is her only friend for a while. She respected her, but even that she quit doing as soon as the Rangers were around. Her self-confidence really does stand and fall with her friendship with the Rangers and especially Dale.
When she doesn't have to deal with Winifred in any way, she shows her cheerful, fun-loving character which gives the impression that she and Dale would match perfectly.
According to her own words, Foxglove had no friends until she met Winifred whom she helped on her attempts to become a witch. When these criminal actions of Winifred's turned into a case for the Rangers, Foxglove realized that she was working for the evil, and she joined the Rangers on their struggle against Winifred.
Foxglove only appeared in the episode Good Times, Bat Times. Despite being a one-shot character, her popularity is second only to the Rangers themselves. There is even a website dedicated to her, The Foxglove Feature.
Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
In the TV show, she was limited to only one of the 65 episodes. But she seems to be a part of most major fan fictions. She often supports the Rangers, sometimes she is even a Ranger herself, but most of the times, she can be found in a relationship with Dale, especially in those Rangerverses in which Chip and Gadget become or already are a couple. Some authors even gave her a detailed past.
(Should Foxy's last name made by I'm not sure who and family tree made by Indy be mentioned here?)
