The Cat Static Lightning Generator was invented by Norton Nimnul, initially as an alternative power source, but then as a method of threatening the city.

Description
This contraption consists of wire wrapped around a central pole, from which extend articulated arms. Some of the arms have gloved hands for grabbing, holding, and depositing cats, while others have brushes attached for brushing them and generating a static charge. This is also an extensible orb on top for collecting the combined charge. The orb can then open up, extending a hand on an articulated arm for aiming the bolts of electricity.. The whole contraption sits in a pit for keeping the cats nearby.
