During 1981, it was reported there were plans to have made a 4-door version of the car (perhaps on a longer wheelbase) for 1983. It was to have been of stainless steel, and with gullwing doors.
1997
Van Man had been working at the design department DMC-12 in Houston since 1997 when the car company started.

He is a brown mouse with blue eyes and black hair. His clothing matches Chip's so he can attract a blonde girl mouse some day.
Van Man has never been to Disneyland and had never been to Gadget's Go-Coaster.

Van Man always goes out to do something social with Dale and Gadget on Fridays.
Van Man goes out with his former staff from the plant in Houston as well but they find it hard to get him motivated when he does not have money in human-size. He frequently goes in his rodent-sized bedroom and shuts the door when staff is there.
Van Man had started working at the DMC plant in Houston on Thursdays in the graphics design room.
