About

Chris Fischer is a professional musician and accomplished artist/caricaturist based in New York City. See his personal website for details.

He is also known by his Acorn Cafe handles Mayhem and fish, the latter being used today (as at July, 2006). Interestingly, the nickname Mayhem was picked up by another Rangerphile in December 2006.

The Rangers of Oz

General Information

One of fish's most famous pieces of fan art. It displays the five Rescue Rangers as the main characters of L. Frank Baum's Wonderful Wizard of Oz, posing on the Yellow Brick Road in an incredibly on-character way:

  • Zipper as Toto, Dorothy's dog
  • Chip as the Tin Woodman
  • Dale as the Scarecrow

Together with the awards for Of Mice and Mayhem, fish received the record number of 23 awards in 2003. He even created the artwork for the ceremony.
