Being worked on in autumn 2005 already, Closer Than a Brother is one of 2006's most remarkable stories. One thing that makes it special is that it is told from Gadget's point of view.

Synopsis

A quarrel between Chip and Dale, caused by Gadget who has fallen asleep on Chip's shoulder after a movie marathon, is soon being displaced by a new case when an apparently British mouse named Jules Crissen demands the help of the Rescue Rangers. He introduces himself as the butler of the Russian actress Sophia Marskov (actually should be Marskova according to Russian grammatics) and tells the Rangers that an assassin is after her. But as soon as the Rangers start working on the case, they learn the hard way that hardly anything about it is the way it looks like.
