In contrast to canonical characters who have been created by the Disney staff, and who appear in official creations such as the TV show, original characters are characters made by fans, most of the times for use in fan fiction. Each writer's Rangerverse has a different set of character, but some original characters have been allowed to appear in multiple Rangerverses.
