About

BOC42 has joined the Acorn Cafe on February 10, 2006, and introduced herself one week later. However, her active Rangerphilia dates back much longer. In October 2005, she started writing down her first and by now only released piece of fan fiction, Closer Than a Brother.

She is the rare case of a female Gadgephile. At the hardware store at which she works, she wears a name tag reading, "Gadget". However, she is also one of the probably few female Trekkies.

Furthermore, BOC42 is a Ranger Wiki contributor.

Fan Fiction

Closer Than a Brother

First released: At the Acorn Cafe from May 4 to 29, 2006

Title reference: Proverbs 18:24 - "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

Part of series: Not yet. A sequel is being worked on, though.

Length: 30,358 words (the text only), 30,857 words (the complete work); 15 chapters

Rating: PG (for some violence and intense situations)

Being worked on in autumn 2005 already, Closer Than a Brother is one of 2006's most remarkable stories. One thing that makes it special is that it is told from Gadget's point of view.

Synopsis

A quarrel between Chip and Dale, caused by Gadget who has fallen asleep on Chip's shoulder after a movie marathon, is soon being displaced by a new case when an apparently British mouse named Jules Crissen demands the help of the Rescue Rangers. He introduces himself as the butler of the Russian actress Sophia Marskov and tells the Rangers that an assassin is after her. But as soon as the Rangers start working on the case, they learn the hard way that hardly anything about it is the way it looks like.
