1998: Tim Carter and Gadget met at Delta Ranger House Faber University. Chip was pledgemaster. "Carter." Chip handed Tim a pledge pin. "Your Delta Ranger name's gonna be Van Man."

2001: Van Man starts making plans to be on his own away from his Mom.

2003: Van Man never graduated from Faber University.

2004: Van Man gets a computer for Christmas from his Dad.

2005: Van Man joins the Acorn Cafe on January 9.

2006: Van Man's near-death experience.

2007: Van Man meets Dorothy Gale, a bat living in Greensburg, Kansas. She survived the twister and currently lives with Van Man.

Meeting Dorothy Gale

At the age of ten in 1987, I wasn't clear about "Dorothy" from the Wizard Of Oz. After seeing the movie, I asked my mother where Dorothy lived. She asked me why I wanted to know. "Because I wanted to visit her." I replied.

Dorothy Gale was my childhood dream.

Twenty years later the dream became real.
