Sewernose de Bergerac is an alligator with an infatuation for theater. He lives in the sewers under the theater.

Canonical Information
Appearance
Sewernose is an alligator with bushy brown eyebrows and yellow eyes with crazed looking two-colored irises (red and green), usually clad in a short red and black cape and a purple cap with a green feather.

He is often seen with his two favorite hand puppets, Euripides and Voltaire.

Personality
According to Sewernose himself, he was flushed down a toilet when he was still young. He then lived in the sewers just under the theater, where he learned to appreciate the opera and learned from the best actors and singers who performed there.

His love for theater greatly shows in his personality. He loves dramatic entrances, vanishes with a puff of smoke and has his very own puppet show. He thinks of himself as being a great actor and dreams about a starring role in an opera.

Most of the time, he is "accompanied" by Euripides and Voltaire, both of them having their "own" unique personalities.

He seems to have some sort of multiple personality disorder, thinking that Euripides and Voltaire really are alive (a fact which becomes vital to the plot later in his episode).

Role
Sewernose is the villain in the episode A Case of Stage Blight. The Rangers caught sight of him (or rather his puppets) when he tried to put Clarence Dudley, the lead actor, out of action so he could later take over his part. He failed though and the Rangers followed him into the sewers.

While investigating, they were caught by Sewernose, who then entertained himself with his puppet show, using the Rangers as marionettes. Later, he tried to get hold of Clarence Dudley again. Succeeding this time, he put on Clarence's costume and entered the stage, but when both the cast and the audience realized that the star was an alligator, they tried to flee in panic. Outraged by all these "critics", Sewernose threatened to eat them all. He could only be calmed down by Chip and Dale taking over parts in the opera, causing Sewernose to start acting again.

He was later flushed back into the sewers.

Episodes
Sewernose de Bergerac appeared in a single episode, namely A Case of Stage Blight.

Trivia
As mentioned by Tad Stones, Sewernose was loosely based on the comics-only character Sewer Al.

The Jamaican fruit bats once helped Fat Cat by stealing jewels in exchange for fruits. They speak in a thick Jamaican accent and they frequently end their sentences with “man”. There are three of them, one short, one fat and one middle-sized. They are not evil, they just do anything for fruits. They are extremely messy, especially when it comes to eating (they throw banana peels and such everywhere). None of the bats seems to have an official name. At least one of the fruit bats is voiced by Rob Paulsen.
Spud & Fry are a couple of bank robbers and swindlers. Both wear "burglar-caps". Fry, the taller one, hates animals and is the leader of the two. Spud is more or less the image of a classic dim-witted side-kick. They appeared in the Episode Short Order Crooks.

Canonical Information
Appearance
Wart is a small green lizard dressed in a red coat and a hat.

Personality
Wart is probably the smartest member of Fat Cat's gang, although that doesn't say much. His voice and mannerisms emulate Peter Lorre. Wart is opportunistic and will betray allies if he feels it profitable and safe.

Role
Wart gets away with performing slightly less physical dirty work than his peers. For instance, in
Flash the Wonder Dog the entire gang went on a mischief spree, and while the others picked destructive or particularly mean activities, he chose vandalism. He does not do a lot of heavy lifting, and sometimes acts as de facto commander, as in Parental Discretion Retired when he directs Mepps and Mole.

About
What is the Acorn Cafe?

The Acorn Cafe is presently the largest focal point of the Rescue Ranger Fan Community. Though it serves as a place where many of the members of the community can display their art and stories the point can also be made that the primary function of the Acorn Cafe is to serve as an assembly or meeting hall for the fans to come together to joke and communicate.

What is it like there?

Inside the fandom the Acorn Cafe has taken on the collective mental image of being a proverbial café, complete with drinks, tables, booths, and a comfy couch in front of a 46-inch LCD television. Further revisions have included such additions as the stairwell from the RMS Titanic and an archival library. However, every patron has got another picture of the Cafe and its facilities in their imagination, so answers to this question tend to differ.

What does it look like?

Though it has had several guises over the decade or so it has been around, the Acorn Cafe exists today as a phpBB styled board, complete with all of the features that style of construction allows.

The board itself is divided into several sections.

The RRt (art) Board is a place where community members can post their latest pieces for comment and display and also in the hope of getting assistance with final revisions.

The Off-Topic section is a place where members of the fandom can converse about everyday topics not specifically related to the Rescue Rangers. The conversations tend to be polite, witty, or... enlightening.

The Story Board is for those members of the community with a talent for writing to display their works. Some of the most noted pieces of Rescue Ranger fan-fiction have been first posted for everyone to enjoy on the Acorn Cafe, a tradition that continues in this section.

The Acorn Cafe board is the namesake for which the entire site is named. Here members of the Cafe discuss issues raised by the canon, inform each other about Rescue Ranger news, and share humor based on the series.

The Cafe Foyer is the most recent addition to the Cafe, and is used to welcome new members to the board. The welcome threads allow members to introduce themselves. Oftentimes, they feature "welcoming salutes," featuring both paintballs and liberal amounts of confetti (and even battleships).

Once every year since 2002, the Cafe hosts the Golden Acorn Awards.

Who runs this place?

Since moving to phpBB, the Acorn Cafe is run by the admins Stephen C (aka Chairman Kaga) and Dr. Indy.

Who can join the Acorn Cafe?

The Acorn Cafe is open to all who share an interest in Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, though even this requirement is not written in stone. Several members had no true knowledge of the series before joining but today are just as dedicated to the series and fandom as any other.

What are the rules?

See below.

History
1998
February 8: A message board called "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers", later to be known as The Acorn Cafe, is launched at Inside The Web, led by Natasha Kashefipour, then 14 years old. Before this date, the Usenet was the only online meeting-point for Rangerphiles.

February 14: The young Acorn Cafe becomes a battle location when the St. Valentine's Day Massacre goes off.

10. Trivial Conversations/Hijacking Threads. Moderators reserve the right to delete or modify any trivial discussion that takes on the nature of a chat session. The definition of such a chat will be determined by the moderators, but could include any lengthy discussion between only two or three people, or a discussion that begins on-topic but is "hijacked" and then becomes a chat. Such practices clutter the forums, making it difficult for others to enjoy the boards.

11. Ranger Video Links. Posting of links to sites exhibiting online video of the Rangers (such as BitTorrent and other file-sharing sites) is discouraged. Such posts will be deleted, as they represent a serious copyright violation and could be used to penalize the owner of the Cafe's server as well as the person(s) who posted. Posting YouTube material (or such material from similar sites) is okay as long as it's a true derivative work (fan-made), done in good taste and isn't the actual reproduction of an episode. Video viewers be aware that the Related Videos on YouTube sites aren't under the control of the person posting, so there may be content issues there. Video posters are encouraged to seek out content-friendly video hosting sites.

Is El Monty Grande really considered to be a one-shot character? The name is, after all, just an alias for Monty, who hardly counts as a one-shot character.

Yeah, I know that this is not the most important problem in the world, but come on. Can someone please answer this question? I'm really tempted to at the very least make this article a subsection of Monty, but I'd like your opinion on this.--Toni 19:02, 11 May 2008 (PDT)

Yeah, I think you're right that this could be moved into the main Monty article. The same could possibly be said, I think, of the "Rubber Bando" page, though I think (of course I'm somewhat biased) that's a bit different since "El Monty Grande" was simply a name given to Monty by other mice, whereas Dale specifically attempted to make Rubber Bando a separate character from himself. That's just my opinion though...

Yeah, the whole "secret identity" thing makes Dale's alter ego hard to classify. But at least with Monty, I don't see such problems.
Tonihttp://rangerwiki.net/index.php?title=All_Hands&diff=4140All Hands2008-05-12T03:21:46Z
Toni: Redirecting to All Hands'

Toni is a regular member at The Acorn Cafe. He's known for posting a lot of art and creating various so-called "boredom projects".

Rangery works
Art
Toni is known for drawing a lot of pictures of various characters and has a gallery at "the Rescue Ranger Database". Most of these pictures just show one or more characters in simple poses, but he also made a small collection of comic strips.

Toni also edited sprites from the CDRR NES-games and created additional characters and poses from scratch. He also created the original (inanimate) smilies for The Acorn Cafe.

He won many art-related Golden Acorns from the year 2005 and is quite proud of that. :)

Fanfiction
Toni created two whole fanfiction stories: "The Good, the Mad and the Dale" and "The day Chip didn't die", which are the chapters 1 and 3 respectively of his "New Rescue Ranger Adventures" series.

That's right, he never made a second chapter and it's unknown if he ever manages to make one.

Boredom Projects
Toni created the "Gadget Window Sitter" and the "Gadget KiSS Doll", which can be downloaded from his homepage.

His current boredom project is a minigame based on Foxglove. Will it ever be finished? Only time will tell. ;)

Other works
Toni likes to pretend that he's a creative person and created various pictures, sprites, horrible midis, small games and kamishibai (a special artform suitable for telling stories with pictures, animation and music), among other things, a lot of which can be found at his homepage or in his DevArt-Account.

All Hands' is a one-shot character and member of Captain Fin's Crew.

Canonical Information
Appearance
All Hands' is a pink octopus who is seen to wear a stereotypical white seaman's cap.

Personality
All Hands' is a typical co-dependant personality. In the presence of Captain Fin he is eager to please and determined to show his genuine loyalty. Once outside earshot of Fin he becomes somber and despondent, often heard to wonder alloud why others in the crew aren't made to perform the dangerous jobs that he is expected to do or even expressing his doubt that Captain Fin could manage without him.

That being said All Hands' is perhaps one of the most capable crewcreatures aboard the Nautilus. He shows the remarkable dexterity and range of motion which his specie are noted for, and volunteers for missions quickly and cheerfully.

In the end it is All Hands' who is responsible in many ways for the failing of Captain Fin and the terrorist plans which he was attempting to initiate. First, the Rescue Rangers are able to use All Hands' to lead them to Fin. Second, it is All Hands' who fails to capture the Rangers once they begin trying to use the organ to pump water out of the Nautilus. Third, it is he who lets the bubble solution (which the Rangers were using for diving helmets) enter the organ and produce the cloud of bubbles that eventually carry Fin to his doom.

Sadly perhaps it is All Hands' alone of the crew who escapes the fate of the Nautilus and her master. This is due to the fact that the Rescue Rangers use him as a parachute to secure their own escape, though to his credit his last line in canon is concern over the fate of Captain Fin.

Role
All Hands' plays an important role in that he is the comic relief to Captain Fin.

Episodes
All Hands' makes but one appearance in the series, that being in the episode A Creep in the Deep, which first aired on November 13, 1989.

Quotes
"I'm his strong right arms!"

"I knew you wouldn't leave me high and dry!"

"The captain's not going to like that at all, not at all!"

Trivia
All Hands' name is a reference to a general duty call on board naval vessels, where such calls as "All hands' on deck!" are used to call general seamen and petty officers to order.

Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
All Hands' shares the same condition in fanon as Captain Fin and the rest of the crew of the Nautilus, that being the scarcity of any fan-fiction or fan-art produced of him. Yet, Captain Fin's crew is mentioned in Michael Demcio's fanfic Rhyme and Reason.

Appearance
The Nautilus is a highly stylized submarine. Anyone familiar with the Walt Disney Studio's movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, or the now-departed Disney Land or Disney World rides of the same would be able to instantly identify the submarines as near perfect matches, excepting that the Nautilus in "A Creep in the Deep" has added features in the form of seashell based wheels for land based missions.

Development and Fabrication
No canon sources are given for the design, construction, and fabrication of the Nautilus. Its use prior to being first seen by the Rescue Rangers is explained by Captain Fin however. Looking for a way to have his vengeance on the Land Walkers Fin discovered the submarine, which he said was practically new, and crewed it.

Role
Captain Fin took command of the Nautilus and then began to use the machine in his terrorist attacks on the Land Walkers (that being humans and other land based animals which consume fish as food). He was very successful in these missions until he encountered Nemo and the Rescue Rangers. The later eventually caused the termination of these plans when in the course of their escape from inside the Nautilus the caused All Hands' the Octopus to tip bubble solution into the shipboard organ. This created an air bubble mattress around the Nautilus which supposedly carried it out to the desert where it very well may of become stranded, par-boiling its master and crew alike in the unforgiving sun.

Episodes
The Nautilus makes one appearance in the series, that being in the episode "A Creep in the Deep".

Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
* The ship remains un-named through the course of the entire episode of "A Creep in the Deep", so the fact that it is even Nautilus to begin with is a product of fanon.

* The Nautilus shares the fate of the seacreatures which manned her, that being that she has made practically no appearances in fanon.

Kefluffles and Flummoxes
* The Nautilus is almost verbatim the ship which appeared in the Walt Disney incarnations of Jules Verne's book "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". The characters in "A Creep in the Deep" dance around this fact constantly in the episode, making it infuriating that the ship is never called by that name.

* The Nautilus is capable of operating as a fully operational submarine, diving, surfacing, motoring above and under the surface, and operating the shipboard organ...all while being filled with sea water!

Nemo is a one-shot character from the episode A Creep in the Deep.

Canonical Information
Appearance
Nemo has the appearance of a typical large adult male Killer Whale (Orcinus orca), which is also called an Orca. A sleek body design marked on the dorsal surface in black and white on the stomach are his hallmarks.

Personality
Nemo is aware of his great physical srength, but prefers to introduce himself as a performer, and as such maintains the bearing and charm of that profession. As the main attraction at Sealand Aquarium Park he has the love and respect of millions, and he revels in it.

Though at first he doubts the pleas of the Rescue Rangers to be alert to danger, when his tank is destroyed by All Hands' the Octopus at the command of Captain Fin he instantly realizes his error, and saves the Rangers from drowning...by placing them in his cavernous mouth!

His home in ruins and his career at stake Nemo is approached by Captain Fin in the Nautillus. Fin explains that he has "liberated" Nemo from the "imprisonment" at Sealand in an act against the Land Walkers. Fin then implores Nemo to join him in his terrorist campaign against the Land Walkers (humans and other land animals who see fish as food). Nemo though rebuffs this request and at the behest of the Rescue Rangers undertakes to ram the Nautillus, forcing a withdrawal by Captain Fin.

Fin uses what he considers a betrayal by a fellow seacreature as an excuse to add another category to his list of enemies, this being anyone who breathes air!

The Rangers are surprised when Nemo informs them of his want to go to the Sealand dock where he can be retrieved, but show business runs through his massive veins. In a final and appreciated act of mammalian solidarity he returns them to the top of his tank where they can search for clues...via an energetic blast through his blowhole!

Role
In A Creep in the Deep Nemo plays the role of a strong and physical force to aid the Rangers in their first contact with Captain Fin. In a literal sense Nemo plays a voice of dissention among sea creatures to the plans of Captain Fin, showing that all human-sealife interactions are not gastronomic in nature.

Episodes
Nemo appears in one episode alone, that being A Creep in the Deep.

Quotes
* "Why don't you take a look over that wall..."

Trivia
* Nemo is almost without a doubt a parody of Shamu, the famed Orca found at various SeaWorld (TM) parks.

* Orcas have cone shaped teeth, but Nemo was animated with flat ones!

Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
Nemo shares the fate of his antagonist and would-be liberator Captain Finn in that there are scarce references to him in fanon.

Trivia
As mentioned by Ted Stones, Sewernose was loosely based on the comics-only character Sewer Al.

Yeah, I know that this is not the most important problem in the world, but come on. Can someone please answer this question?

Tammy is an incidental ("one-shot") character, appearing in the episode Adventures in Squirrelsitting.

Canonical Information
Appearance
Tammy is a juvenile (approximately teenage) squirrel of indeterminate species (Though most likely of the Sciurus genera). She has long red hair kept in a single braid, blue eyes, and a long volumous fluffy tail typical of tree-dwelling squirrels. Her clothes consist of a pair of blue jeans, a pink long-sleeved button-down shirt with oversize tails that are never tucked in, and a pink arch-type bow worn on her head.

Personality
Tammy is notably strong-willed and exhibits a certain naivety consistent with her depiction as a teenager. She has a simultaneous overconfidence in her own abilities and a craving for approval and acceptance from her perceived hero figure (Chip).

Episode and Role
Tammy appears in one episode, Adventures in Squirrelsitting. Tammy and her family first encounter the Rescue Rangers when they accidentally crash straight through the front door of the family's home, as a result of a mishap while attempting to retrieve the Maltese Mouse (a small artifact apparently of some value) from Fat Cat, who has stolen it. Tammy and her sister Bink are used as hostages by Fat Cat to force the Rangers to return the Maltese Mouse to him. As a result of Chip's rescue efforts, Tammy develops a romantic crush on him, complicating the situation.

After the initial hostage crisis is resolved, the Rescue Rangers are roped into babysitting Tammy and Bink overnight. During this time, feeling rebuffed in her romantic advances towards Chip, Tammy attempts to prove herself by sneaking away from Ranger headquarters with Bink, in an idealistic but ill-fated attempt to retrieve the Maltese Mouse on her own.

The Rescue Rangers attempt to enter Fat Cat's casino in disguise, but are discovered and captured. In the resultant struggle that forms the climax of the episode, Tammy and Bink end up playing a significant role in the Ranger's ultimate escape and successful recovery of the Maltese Mouse.

Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
Non-canonical conventions concerning Tammy tend to be highly variable, tending to be dependant on the personal preferences and creativity of each individual fan fiction author. She has no notably common last name, family or personal history, or future role depiction among the Rangers.

However, in those stories where she does become a member of the team, she is often depicted as a nurse or paramedic. One of the most prominent examples of this is the fan comic Of Mice and Mayhem.

The Rescue Ranger Database, or RRDatabase, is a repository of fan work started by Matt Plotecher in 1996 and later taken over by Winston who hosted it on his private server for almost three years. Since June 27, 2007, Tanka runs the RRDatabase. The Acorn Cafe thread about the change of online location, including a message from Winston to the Rangerphiles, can be found here.

From the RRDatabase's site:

Now over seven years old, the RRDatabase was started by Matt Plotecher as an effort to be a comprehensive collection of important fanwork relating to the show "Chip'N'Dale's Rescue Rangers". In that pursuit, it has generally succeeded, coming to be regarded as one of the major resources of the fandom. In July of 2004, responsibility for maintaining the site was transferred to Winston.

The RRDatabase has gone through many different incarnations - it began life as static HTML, evolved to include small amounts of SSI, began using CGI when that was no longer sufficient, adopted some modest PHP when CGI became too cumbersome to fill all that was needed, and has been growing in complexity and degree of dynamic content ever since (PHP started it's tenure here as a sort of side-show for some minor features, but has grown to the point in subsequent codebase redesigns that the site can truly be reckoned to be powered by PHP, built from the ground up with PHP at it's core).

Under Winston, the RRDatabase has intentionally adopted a stance of inclusion toward fanwork of all content levels, excluding graphic sexual depictions. This is relatively rare among major fan websites, which almost universally set a cap on content that may be included or linked to. Parties who understand what the RRDatabase can contain, and wish to view it, may reach the main page via the external link below.

About
Inspired by the famous Geek Code, the Ranger Code is a code used to describe a Rangerphile's attitude to certain aspects of the fandom.

The Ranger Code was created by Byron "TheBoz" Crowe, and also includes a lot of items suggested by Matt Plotecher. TheBoz hosted it on his Gadget Hackwrench Homepage where it can still be found today, although the website has since changed ownership multiple times. It was first taken over by Winston DeLeon, who continued developing the Code to what it is today and hosted it on the Rescue Ranger Database. The RR Database switched hands again a few years later, to Tanka, who currently maintains it.

Since version 0.3, the scores of Candy Courtnier's Rangerity Test and Gadgetism Test are included in the Code.

History Excerpts
May 22, 1998: First test release, version 0.1.

June 1, 1998: Version 0.5 is released to the public.

October 4, 1998: Version 0.8 is the last version created by TheBoz.

August 4, 2003: Winston DeLeon takes over the Gadget Hackwrench Homepage and the Ranger Code with it. After almost five years, the work on the Code is taken up again.

July 6, 2004: The final version 1.0 is released.

The full history can be found with the Ranger Code itself.

Brief Description
General Section
* RRC – Lead-in and dedication to the show.

* R – Rangerity Test score.

* P – Keeping the fandom for oneself or rather letting the public know.

* TH – Preferred themes in episodes, such as adventure, angst, humor or mystery. With the increasing amount of fanfics available, it was made applicable to fan fiction as well.

* ME – How much merchandise one owns.

* I – Internet saturation. There's even the tag Ig, meaning that the owner of this code runs a Gadget-only website.

* CR – Self-made creations, such as fan fiction or fan art.

* C – Favorite characters. Defined tags exist for the following characters:
** Cc – Chip
** Cd – Dale
** Cg – Gadget (see also Gadget's section)
** Cm – Monterey Jack
** Cz – Zipper
** Cf – Foxglove
** Ct – Tammy
** Cfc – Fat Cat
** Cn – Norton Nimnul
** Crc – Rat Capone
** Co – Other characters, to be specified in brackets
** Ca – All characters likewise

* E – Emulation of characters. Again, here are pre-defined tags.
** Ec – Chip
** Ed – Dale
** Eg – Gadget
** Em – Monterey Jack
** Ez – Zipper
** Ef – Foxglove
** Et – Tammy
** Eo – Other characters, to be specified in brackets

* D – How much one dreams of the Rescue Rangers at night. Daydreams don't count here.

* M – Activity at the Acorn Cafe.

* Z – Gender and age.

Gadget's Section
Inaugurated with version 0.3, this section describes the degrees of Gadgephilia. Adding this section to the personal code is not required.

* GH – Amount of Gadget worshipping.

* L – Amount of love for Gadget. It is commonly known that a lot of mostly male Rangerphiles have a more or less severe crush on the inventor mouse.

* G – Gadgetism Test score. It also describes which subsection scored higher (Ga for subsection A, Gb for subsection B, Ge for both subsections scoring equally).

* P – What a Rangerphile thinks about possible pairings with Chip (Pc), Dale (Pd), Sparky (Ps) and other characters (Po, name to be added in brackets). So a single glance reveals if someone is pro or anti. One reason why Ranger Codes aren't always read from the very beginning.

Silly Section
This section is just for fun and optional, too.

It describes, in the opinion of the specific Rangerphile, things like the number of Gadget clones/look-alikes, the number of Chip's and Dale's disguises, the daily bonk count etc.

The Darned Nearly Recoilless Rifle is a single-mouse light anti-armor and anti-air weapon, designed to fire .22 rimfire cartridge. The fire team consists of a firer and loader, carrying a backpack with additional ammo.

Construction
Designed and built by Widget Hackwrench, the Darned Nearly Recoilless Rifle is a relatively simple design, consisting of a long tube, to which a firing mechanism is attached. When fired, the case exits the back of the rifle, cocking the firing pin. It is advisable to fire from crouching or prone position with suitable brace, for even though most of the recoil is absorbed by the case, it is still considerable enough for the operator to loose his balance.

Operational Service
The Darned Nearly Recoilless Rifle was used during several engagements, most noteworthy in the Battle of Casino, when three recoilless teams tried to stop The Exterminator.

The Albacore is a submarine built by Widget Hackwrench to take revenge upon the Rescue Rangers. Commanded by Jürgen, it is featured in Under the Bridge and Sovereign by John Nowak and mentioned in Icarus by the same author.

History
The Research Vessel Albacore was designed and built by Widget. She used it to sink the cruise ship Minuscule as part of an elaborate plan to take revenge upon the Rangers for the abuse she suffered in the past. The boat was later leased by a team of rodent archaeologists for studying the lost culture of the Rats of Atlantis.

Construction
The Albacore is built out of a hot water heater, with welded bow and stern. It is described as being roughly the size of a torpedo, with Sovereign specifying the overall length of 20ft and diameter of 3ft. This is remarkably large for a rodent-sized vessel, especially a submarine.

The power plant consists of a Nimnul Generator, which is capable of producing large amounts of static electricity and allows Albacore to operate for months without the need to return to port. Thrust is provided by a single pump-jet engine, capable of propelling the vessel also in reverse. The Albacore is mentioned to be capable of top speed above 20kts.

Like a conventional submarine, the Albacore has two sets of rudders for depth control in addition to ballast tanks, which can be filled with compressed air (blown) for emergency surface maneuver.

The boat's armament consists of four sets of saw blades running along the bow up to the bridge, which can be used to rupture the enemy ship's hull by ramming, and at least four bow torpedo tubes. Among the various torpedoes carried on board is the unique ice-inducing warhead, devised and constructed by Widget, designed to create a relatively small iceberg upon detonation.
Additionally, Albacore has at least two dynamite guns loaded with cluster anti-air missiles.

Gadget Hackwrench is one of the five core members of the Rescue Rangers, alongside Chip, Dale, Monterey Jack and Zipper. She is the daughter of Geegaw Hackwrench.

Canonical Information
Appearance
Gadget is a female mouse.

Her eyes are blue, while the color of her hair has frequently been a topic of discussion as it changes from episode to episode. In many episodes her hair appeared to be orange in color. In still others, it showed up as being a strawberry blond. At one point, Tad Stones, the producer of the show was contacted by a fan and gave this explanation:

"I believe the intention was sandy blonde. Because we work with a limited color palette, we pick the
closest color to what we want. There was no intention of adding red. I did the first paintings of Gadget and
she was completely blonde wearing blue coveralls."

She usually wears a pair of lavender mechanic's coveralls, a purple belt, and a pair of blue goggles which she keeps on her forehead when she doesn't need them. A white shirt can often be seen under her coveralls, but it is even more inconsistent than her hair, sometimes disappearing and reappearing within one scene. Though she can occasionally be seen in different outfits matching the situation, she never wears a dress or make-up unless it is part of a disguise.

Personality
Gadget's personality was based upon the inventive female character Jordan in the 1985 movie, "Real Genius". She's a combination of the "cute girl next door" combined with an obsessed and quirky inventor. There are a few people she doesn't like, but those few are typically villains. Gadget has a natural warmth about her that makes everyone welcome and pleased to see her. She's very loyal to her friends and frequently goes out of the way to help them.

At the same time, Gadget constantly is thinking. As exhibited in the episode Gadget Goes Hawaiian, she has trouble focusing on just one way to do things. However, once her focus has come she can invent at a staggering pace—for instance her armored gyromobile in Case of the Cola Cult.

Gadget has her quirks. She thinks so much from an inventor's standpoint that it tends to make her naive at times. She's upset Chip and Dale's romantic advances more than once, simply by not understanding what it was they were after.

When Gadget's excited about her inventions she's known to use scientific jargon freely and talk at an extremely rapid pace. This tends to leave anyone listening to her clueless as to what she actually meant, but it never seems to bother her.

Gadget can be angered. As we saw in both The Case of the Cola Cult and Dirty Rotten Diapers, Gadget has a limit beyond which her cute veneer is lost and she becomes, well, aggressive. Woe to the villain or anyone else who manages this feat, because once Gadget's riled she's a juggernaut—thankfully, such incidents are rare.

Role
Episodes
Gadget appeared in all episodes of the original TV show except To The Rescue Part 1 and Part 2 as she was introduced in Part 3.

Accepted Fan Fiction Conventions
"It should work with no problems."
In many fan fiction stories, there is at least one scene in which Gadget says about her recent invention that it "should work with no problems." Although this looks like a quote from the series, it is none. Instead, it combines two similar quotes. One of them is the word "should" which Gadget uses when she is not completely certain if her creation will work the way it is supposed to. And since not few inventions of hers have failed though they "should" have worked, this one word will always alarm the Rangers. The other quote is "no problems". There have been enough situations which Gadget described with these two words, and which then turned into the opposite, to give this saying the same effect as the word "should". The fan-made combination of both doubles this effect, however with different outcomes in different stories.

Gadget's Love Life
Gadget's love life is an issue explored in a large amount of fanfics.

Her fondness of strawberries
Gadget's love for strawberries is shown in quite a few pictures, although the show never showed any food preference. This trend was apparently started by Michael Demcio. (Could someone please confirm this?)

The Rescue Rangers caught sight of him (or rather his puppets) when he tried to put Clarence Dudley, the lead actor, out of action so he could later take over his part. He failed though and the Rangers followed him into the sewers.

While investigating, they where caught by Sewernose, who then entertained himself with his puppet show, using the Rangers as marionettes.

Fat Cat is an established gang leader, and he employs other animals in his crime empire. He has a small inner circle of four henchmen, who serve as his bodyguards and perform direct criminal acts at his command. He also employs staff at his casino, at least occasionally, and will sometimes hire consultants for special jobs. Most of this contract work happens in comics and other continuities outside the main cartoon. When fans discuss "Fat Cat's henchmen," they usually mean the core gang of four.

Core gang
Fat Cat's four major henchmen - they could be called his generals if they were smart enough to be given any real responsibility - are Mepps the cat, Wart the lizard, Mole the mole, and Snout the rat. Sometimes all four henchmen are on assignment, but often either Snout or Mepps are absent; it is unusual to see both of them in the same episode. Mepps appears in the bulk of the "mid-range" episodes, but Snout is not a late development or a replacement for him. As early as Adventures in Squirrelsitting, they are both present - in fact, they talk with each other in this episode.

Fat Cat's casino is well known among the animal population of the Ranger's hometown.

Canonical Information
Location
The casino is located on top of the Happy Tom cat food factory, right inside its mascot: a huge statue of a smiling cat.
It's divided into two major parts: the casino itself which is located in the cat's body and Fat Cat's office inside the head. These parts are connected by an elevator.

Role
We only get to see the casino itself in a few episodes (namely Adventures in Squirrelsitting and To the Rescue (Parts 1)), but from what is shown, it seems to be pretty popular among the shadier characters of the animal population and insure a steady income for Fat Cat.

Most of the time though, we only get to see Fat Cat's office where he spents a lot of time planning his latest schemes to get more riches and power.
